Padathumappila family members continued their contribution and initiatives in churches in all generations and from all branches.
1. KOTHAPPALLIL SHAKHA AND CHURCHES
Kothapallil family members mainly settled around Kangazha. They used to participate in Manarcadu Church itself. Later on, for convenience, few members joined in Pampadi Valiyapalli. When a number of members among the families increased, they thought of constructing a church at Kangazha itself.
St :Thomas Church Kangazha
In 1891 AD St Thomas Church was constructed by 1) Thottathil Thommi Kora, 2) Peedikekkal Mani Thomas, 3) Vayalappallil Chacko Thoma, 4) Chettedathu Chacko Mathai, 5) Edathara Korah Varghese, 6) Vadakke Vandanathuvayalil Thommi Korah, 7) Thekke Vandanathuvayalil Thommi Thommi, 8) Vayalunkal Mani Vaeghese, 9) Kaniyamparampil Thommi Chacko, 10) Vadakke Iravikulangara Cherian Korah, 11) Thekke Iravikulangara Korah Itty, 12) Iravikulangara karottu Korah Chacko, 13) Kothappallil Chacko Chacko, and 14) Thakidipurathu Chacko Itty. Today most of the members of St:Thomas Church are from our Kothappallil Family.
Chettedam Palli
Again the strength of the family increased, Kothappallil family members spread to places like Chettedam, Pathippalam, Anjani and places little away from Kangazha Church. As per the instructions of Vayalappallil Sri Scaria Kathanar, they decided to build another church. In, 1950 Sri. P T Varghese Peediekkal got permission from the government and he offered 80 cents of land for church.
Chettukuzhi Church Vandamedu
This church was constructed on a 60 cents of land donated by Vattavattakuzhiyil Korah Scaria (Kunjappan).
2. POWATHU SHAKHA AND CHURCHES
Sehion Church Kothala
Kothanikkal Ulahannan was donated 82 cents of land and Tharakkunnel Thekkel Mathan Ulahannan took a major role in the construction of Sehion Church Kothala. Further on most of the Church trustees come from Padathumappila Family.
St:Thomas Church South Pampadi
Aalothu family members contributed their efforts for the construction of St: Thomas Church South Pampadi.
Shalom Marthoma Church South Pampadi
Aalothu Chacko had taken initiative for the construction of this church and the Sunday school constructed on the land donated by him.
Kundukadu (Near Trichur) Pattanikkal Vattai St:marys Church
Vandanathu V M Thomas contributed his efforts in re-building of this Church.
3. ITTIYEPODATHU SHAKHA AND CHURCHES
Until 18th century Ittiepodathu, Cherkottu Vayal, Padinjarevadayil, Valiyamannil, Ittimani families continued to attend services at St:Mary's Church Manarcadu.
Mar Aprem Orthodox Church ,Thottakad
In 19th Century Ittiyepodathu shakha members, started thinking about a church nearby Valiyamannil Amayapadathu Koshy Ulahannan and Puthettukaduppil Mathan Varghese together applied to the govt for land for a Church and they got it in AD 1803, and Constructed the Church. Cherkotu Koshy and Valiyamannil Amayappadathu Ulahannan were trustees for long periods.
Bethlehem St Marys Church,Thottakad
In 1953 Cherkotu Itty Varghese and Puthupally Ottaplakkal Dn O J Moses got permission from Baselios Geevarghese Catholicos the 2nd. Plapparambil Fr: KK George (His mother was Padathumappila) also lent his support to this.
During Amayannoor Vadakkanmannoor church renovation, Cherkotu family played a very important role.
4. PADATHU SHAKHA AND KANDANADU CHURCH
A few members of Padathu Family had migrated to Kandanadu and Thripunithura in Ernakulam District after the distruction of Padathu Malika at Manarcad.
Latre, Padathu Poovarathu Peter of the family contributed greately to kandanadu Church. This is evident from the history. He was a trustee of the Church for long time.
In Nadamel Church Thripunithura, Padath Thomas was a trustee for many years and our family contributions to this church is written in the church history.
5. PADATHU PARAMBIL SHAKHA AND MEENADOM ST THOMAS CHURCH
St Thomas Church Meenadom
Padathu Cherian was the leader of the “Nayakasangam” who constructed the St: Thomas Church Meenadom.
