Welcome to Padathu Mappila Family's official website, 'www.padathumappila.family'. The aim of this website is to throw light on the rich legacy of Padathu Mappila Family, which spans five hundred years. Padathu Mappila Family's history is coeval with that of St.Mary's Cathedral, Manarcadu, the world famous Marian pilgrim centre. This is because the founder of the family, Padathu Mappila is the initial builder of the Manarcadu church. How he accomplished this marvellous feat, is described in an official book published by the 'Sevaka Sangam' of the Manarcad Church in 1967, titled as 'Athbhutha Soudham', meaning a miracle edifice, this book is a lasting tribute to the sacred memory of Padathu Mappila.To belong to the Padathu Mappila family, its members believe, is a bliss. They have had the blessings of the church in abundance over the centuries. The family is now in its sixteenth generation, and its members spread over the entire globe....
